It’s tradition for people to wear all types of clothing to a dance, but in ballroom dancing it’s a strict code of dress which slightly appealing according to the style of dance being performed. In the dubs and at jams it is okay to wear short pants, strapless blouses and soft wears etc.

 

 

 

In ballroom dancing the woman wears a black sexy sleeve on a sleeveless dress, which is comfortable and flowing to the knee. Black or gold medium heel shoes should be worn depending on the accessories. Shoes should be enclosed and strapped securely to your feet. Hair and makeup is well done and lipstick is bright red.

 

 

The man wears black long pants, Short or long sleeve shirt, enclosed black shoes, a belt and hair well groomed.

 

 

The right attire allows you to maneuver your way smoothly across the dance floor, without any accidents or embarrassments. This helps the man to place his feet between your feet to have a perfect balance. In Social Dances the color of the shoes and apparel depends on the individuals. “Dress Appropriately.”
